Art
Leah Gore is a Berlin-based artist working across painting, sculpture, drawing, and assemblage.
Her practice is rooted in material experimentation and an interest in the tension between the handmade and the manufactured. Working with textiles, industrial materials, found objects, pigment, paper, and paint, she builds surfaces through layering, abrasion, repetition, cutting, and reconstruction.
Her work draws from an Appalachian. sensibility shaped by resourcefulness, craft, labor, and the reuse of available materials. Familiar domestic and industrial forms are pulled apart and recomposed into tactile, often deliberately unstable compositions.
Alongside her visual practice, Gore works as a chef. This parallel practice informs her attention to material, process, transformation, ritual, and sensory experience.
Her work considers what happens when inherited forms of making encounter contemporary visual culture, where craft, consumption, memory, and identity continually overlap.
Commisions and Consultations
I work with private clients, collectors, and creative collaborators to develop original works and projects through a considered, collaborative process.
For commissions and creative projects, I offer private consultations to discuss the concept, materials, scale, site, timeline, and direction of the work
